    (with apologies to Ogden Nash)

I’ve never seen a Purple Cow, baby
And I never hope to see one.
But this much I can tell you, right here and now,
I’d rather see a Purple Cow
    than be one.

    Purple Cow, Purple Cow

You’re singing it now, aren’t you?

Aye d.d. then he’d be dead. I liked him better as a frog.

Sorry … My comment, “At least he didn’t bring him back as Michael Jackson”, disappeared.

Strip seems about 30 years too late. 20 back when retro was big.

You are apologising to the wrong poet.

“The Purple Cow” and its sequel “Confession” were actually written by the late Gelett Burgess. (1866-1951)

It wasn’t Ogden Nash. It was Gelett Burgess. He later got so sick of the notoriety it brought him that he wrote a sequel:

Ah yes, I wrote the Purple Cow
I’m sorry now I wrote it
But I can tell you anyhow
I’ll kill you if you quote it.
