    A lot of truth to that. Oregon has a cadre of people who like to demonstrate (i.e. break things and hurt others) and the cause changes from week to week. Brutality is their idea of recreation.

    It’s what the United States government/military DID in Iraq. PAY the ‘insurgents’ to stop killing us! It’s the only way we could ‘end the war’ and sneak home!

    THREE TRILLION DOLLARS down the drain and absolutely NOTHING accomplished for it! And since that debt will NEVER be paid off, the American taxpayers will be stuck with paying the interest on that ‘expenditure’ forever!!

    There’s something true about: “An armed citizenry who want to defend their home country CAN NOT BE DEFEATED”. It’s the whole basis for the existence of The National Rifle Association. You’d think these dummies in the United States would have remembered that from the American Revolutionary War!!

    Think about this for a while, JUST THE DEER HUNTING LICENSED sport hunters in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia ALONE comprise MORE gun owning people than the largest army that has ever existed in the ENTIRE WORLD!

    And there are 46 MORE States whose gun owning sport hunters ADD to that already huge list!

    Then if the United States is ever attacked and defeated on its own shores, you can depend on the means nullifying that advantage. Those who want our downfall may sometimes be crazy, but they are seldom stupid.

    The VC were armed with AK series rifles, machine guns, rocket launchers, landmines, and had training and organisational capabilities, besides a steady source of supply and reinforcement from North Vietnam via the Ho Chi Minh Trail. And with all that, the war after 1968 was basically fought by the North Vietnamese People’s Army regulars because the VC was pretty much wiped out at the Tet Offensive.

    Well, what about the Aussies? They were in Afghanistan and Iraq too, and look where it got them. Nowhere.

    It didn’t work for the Jew’s in Warsaw.
    It didn’t work for Italy.
    It didn’t work for Germany.
    And that was just in WWII.
    We were all British Subjects in the Revolutionary War. So both sides were defending their home country. So it fails that test of yours too.
    I have been to Iraq with my Army National Guard Company. Have you been there yourself? Based on what I saw, going there was a good idea.
