The Wizard of Id has been enchanting audiences since 1964, but the real wizards behind this comic classic were artist Brant Parker and writer Johnny Hart.
The pair began paving the path to the Kingdom of Id in 1950, when Parker, a staff artist for the Binghamton Press in upstate New York, was asked to judge a high school art contest. Among the entrants was a teenager by the name of Johnny Hart, whose work so impressed Parker that he arranged a meeting.

How nice. The Kingdom of Id did all the logistics work for the Hun invasion.

Spot On P.M. Say P.M. your name reminds me of the Martini-Henry (Peabody),and more specifically the Zulu Wars.
Oh and look…there’s another group of Huns in the background waiting for the road opening ceremony Too!
I believe this will be a WELL traveled road…..but not by the inhabitants of Id?

I have said for years that if Robert E. Lee had Interstate 81, he would have won the Civil War. It runs from NY to TN, going past Gettysburg, PA about 3 miles out of town.

“Lepetomane Thruway?? What will that (expletive for rectum) think of next?? Someone’s gotta go back and get a (expletive)load of dimes!”
Actually, that was an inside joke. There was a “fartiste” around the turn of the 20th century named Joseph Pujol, whose stage name was LePetomane. He made his fortune on his at-will flatulence.
