The pair began paving the path to the Kingdom of Id in 1950, when Parker, a staff artist for the Binghamton Press in upstate New York, was asked to judge a high school art contest. Among the entrants was a teenager by the name of Johnny Hart, whose work so impressed Parker that he arranged a meeting.

Actually, the sad thing is that he’s not that far off the mark (for what I get paid at my job, it might as well be volunteer work!)

Much as I hate agreeing with the King, he’s right about one thing. The ethical philosophy of altruism, the doctrine that our moral duty is to serve others, is intended to make everyone a slave to everyone.
America was founded implicitly on the opposite premise: what matters is YOUR life, YOUR liberty, and the pursuit of YOUR happiness, not someone else’s.
America was the first and only country founded on egoistic individualism, while many others were founded on collectivistic altruism: Soviet Russia, Red China, Nazi Germany, to name three of the bloodiest.
I’d like to add more, but I’m not getting paid for this.

You can volunteer and get paid: Army, Navy, Marine , Airforce.
Volunteer: A position held voluntarily without coercion and not under duress, with or without compensation.
The King is not dumb! He’s right.
She may be an ACORN volunteer, but definitely not a slave. The concept of lies and deception is well known by the King, so he sees the truth.

pschearer: let me understand this: Amerika is founded on an I-me-mine foundation. Is it right to state that Amerikan citizens don’t have to care about homeless, poor, starving people or the likes? In your country or another, for what matters? Is then justifiable the presence of US troops in Middle Eastern to keep oil in “safe” hands? Is “loose” capitalism, the only true “American way”?
Wow, that’s what I thought that the old soviets, nazis and imperialist did…
… and Fink just talks about what he can understand…

In the USSA, all are slaves. Not chattel slaves; that form of slavery is not efficient. Why provide food & shelter for slaves when they can be made to provide it for themselves. Make slaves pay for the ‘right’ to produce. Produce, but don’t pay - you go to jail. Don’t produce, you go to jail. Pay your wage license fee and you are allowed to produce. Slaves are allowed to keep what is not stolen from them as ‘taxes’. Taxes and wages must be paid using a fiat currency. Not satisified with just taxes, the masters are also allowed to inflate the fiat currency so that more wealth can be stolen. It’s a beautiful system for the masters. An entire society of slaves, most of whom don’t even realize that’s what they are. Those that do are imprisioned or killed.
America was conquered in 1913 by those that own the Federal Reserve; not militarily, economically. American didn’t go down with a fight; but was given away by traitorous politicians. Today’s politicians are slaves too, but they are powerless to change anything. Government reform is not possible because it’s not our government. If ‘voting’ could reform, don’t you think it would have worked by now.
The unfortunate truth is reform is impossible. Revolution by the slaves is the only alternative. Another Civil War, this time to free all the slaves.

The only real difference between vonunteer/low paid work and slavery, is that the slaves have job security!

Actually, America is spelled with a “C”, not a “K”. But the “K” spelling is useful in the sense that it lets you spot people who don’t need to be taken seriously. And by the way… What you thought those failed socialists did is not supported by the facts. You DO know that the NAZIS were leftists, don’t you? The National Socialist Party. Since you’re so ignorant about these things, perhaps I should explain to you what FASCISTS are. FASCISTS are those who advocate the takeover by government of business. The technique is simple… first you demonize them, and cripple them with regulation and taxes, then you offer a way to salvation; where all they have to do is your bidding.

Ironically, you appear to be the one who is on medication, one with strong psychotropic properties that prevent you from noticing that the government is actually doing and has done, precisely what Mxyxptik is complaining about.
Fer Lefer said, about 1 month ago
Sorry, Mr. LameName, but I didn’t state that nazis or soviets weren’t left wing…
… and I took the “K” from an old movie, with Kris Kristofferson, if I can recall it … and I take USA citizen seriously, why not?
And are you trying to tell me that Democracy doesn’t demonize other government styles? and doesn’t apply taxes and regulations? and doesn’t offer a “way to salvation”?
… and you forgot to remind me that fascist were born in Italy, being his father Benito Mussolini, and they praised nationalism, as later did the nazis (National-Socialists), and that currently, there are a lot of National-Socialist Parties and Organization all around the world…
My point was that all extremes in politics (left, right, top, down) are just the same: Iron-fist communist or Reckless capitalist can be exchanged with no visible difference…
… and that Amerika (Um…the USA, better?) always walked between center and right politics (IMHO).
Sorry if I confused you…

As I may recall, America was never meant to be a Democracy, but instead a Republic.
