The pair began paving the path to the Kingdom of Id in 1950, when Parker, a staff artist for the Binghamton Press in upstate New York, was asked to judge a high school art contest. Among the entrants was a teenager by the name of Johnny Hart, whose work so impressed Parker that he arranged a meeting.

It’s been some time since the Wizard actually had to conjure up The Spirit.

At least, it’s yeast, not the plant that you’re not supposed to smoke!

A questionable spirit rises with no leaven.
A great spirit rises with proper leaven at the right time.
A holy Spirit is above all and doesn’t need to rise.

Glorification of pagan rituals and witchcraft is harmful to society’s spiritual well-being.
SQUIDBREAKER said, about 1 month ago
Tis true crunkbot.
Nullification of pagan rituals and witchcraft is a big mountain to cast into the sea.

Reminds me of the eppy of I LOVE LUCY, where Lucy used too much yeast to bake bread and ended up being pinned by the huge loaf to the kitchen wall.
Funny scene.

Nullify pagan ritual and you’re not going to have much Christian ritual left. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving… (I’ve often wondered why Christianity doesn’t do Summer solstice?)

Yes indeed !……..Nativity of St. John the Baptist
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Nativity of St John the Baptist is one of the oldest festivals of the Christian church, being listed by the Council of Agde in 506 as one of that region’s principal festivals, where it was a day of rest and, like Christmas, was celebrated with three Masses: a vigil, at dawn, and at midday.
The Nativity of St John the Baptist on June 24 comes three months after the celebration on March 25 of the Annunciation, when the Archangel Gabriel told Our Lady that her cousin Elizabeth was in her sixth month of pregnancy,[1] and six months before the Christmas celebration of the birth of Jesus. The purpose of these festivals is not to celebrate the exact dates of these events, but simply to commemorate them in an interlinking way.

Seriously tho’ if you truely find the celebration of pagan rituals to be that disturbing and are not just trying to start a’conversation’ then you probably shouldn’t be reading a toon that has a wizard as one of it’s main characters lol
And on a related topic, at least the majority of pagan rituals show respect for the earth, I’m guessing that if the leaders of worlds christian cults got together and and decided to insist that driving cars to worship was wrong then there would be a serious down-turn in attendance.
