The pair began paving the path to the Kingdom of Id in 1950, when Parker, a staff artist for the Binghamton Press in upstate New York, was asked to judge a high school art contest. Among the entrants was a teenager by the name of Johnny Hart, whose work so impressed Parker that he arranged a meeting.

Is it a stimulus plan or a bail-out?

Isn’t the government always hiring?

I remember a Wizard of Id where the king announces that the kingdom has full employment and then fired all the employment counselors. One of my favorites.

Yeah, an idea to take the money from workers and give it to non-workers. Oh yeah, and to tax your health benefits so non-workers can live past what Darwin predicted

It was the George W. Bush/Dick Cheney Administration that brought up the Stimulus thing in the 1st place.
There are ignorant idiots who are blaming Barack Obama for the current unemployment problems. They started doing that the very next day after he became the President of the USA.

Hey Lew…. a lot of the people who aren’t working are trying pretty hard to find ANY type of job. I’d be willing to work for 5$ an hour at this point…

how is it that the people who have wonderful, cheap healthcare are cutting, taxing the care of the rest of us AND then acting like they really know what is happening. Poorer health care is nothing to them as congress does not know what it islike to have an insurance company tell your doctor you can’t get this/that treatment…because: to old, to expensive, experimental, etc. the Canada/UK models are worse. I want the care my congressmen/woman gets - AND, for the SAME price,.

It’s kinda ironic when the Reps are blaming Obama for the mess we’re in, when it was their precious Bush who got us into this mess in the first place!!!!

The biggest joke I have seen in the past month was where the White guy trying to sell himself as a Black guy battled for teleprompter space on national TV because the Black guy that tried to sell himself as a White guy died.
The second funniest joke was “The Obama” episode #44 http://iowntheworld.com/blog/?page_id=383
“Did you say AFLAC or half Black?”

Here is Wichita, KS the county is not really hiring. I’ve been trying for full time and nothing. Next year budget is taking a major bite. There is a place with a big help wanted off of W. Harry. I hope my own son gets the job.
