I love the Harrier. My first engineering job was in instrumentation on the Harrier.
The problem with this is the kid would be pushed away by the jet blast. It might work.

Well, like most military technology, there are so many international manufacturers going into each piece, I actually cannot dispute that Ima may have been involved in it. I actually had to go to Sweden and Finland for part of my training.

Harriers are crashing? It’s because I’ve not been on the program for 20 years. Your attempt at an insult was childish and ignorant.

Yawn, cluck must be hitting the pipe once again by proving he not only has no sense of humor has no clue what an AV8-B is.

The back half of the harrier is made by the British and shipped to the St Louis plant where the front half is made and assembled. The Spanish also have Harriers. Anyone else have any real experience with them (like me?) or are you all baffoons and fools?

Harriers are cool. The effort to make an F-35 do the same thing is proving idiocy, expensive idiocy. It IS interesting how so many of our efforts to make a single airframe do all jobs has proven to be expensive failures. Of course my favorite “do it right” aircraft is still the A-10 Warthog, so of course they’re trying to convert them to platforms for launching missiles and make them “manned drones”. Stupid.

The AV-8B harrier uses too much fuel and no one is worried about airfields being destroyed in Europe during WWIII anymore. Now the f-18 Super hornet is still being made …And it flies – which is more than can be said about the F-22 and the f-35 (and pilots aren’t refusing to fly in them either).

Yeah, that’s true…the v/stol capability would be less key in a non-European Theater. Good Point sSTrrruggglePuppy! (Which happens to be me ;^D…..)

…and don’t forget that the subsonic Harrier would also make a nice heat signature for a SAM or Stinger to home in on. Although I believe the Harrier can carry gobs of ordnance and equipment… Don’t get me wrong – in it’s role its the best! And electronic counter-measures and such probably go a long way to mitigate any shortcomings it might have…
