Not sure if I’ve tried this one, myself. How well does this generally work? And, can I have my beer back?

Where I’ve seen it done is along a bank where there are holes the catfish hide in. You reach in and pull them out. There are places in the South where you pay and you get to try it. Personally, I’d prefer a medium rare sirloin at Ruth’s Chris.

I’ve also heard that referred to as “noodlin’”. But, yeah, ya can’t beat Ruth Chris for a fine steak.

Size of some of the catfish I’ve seen, If I try noodlin, more than likely I’ll find myself mounted on the catfish’s wall.

Same here, edclectic. When I Googled to see if one was more proper or regional, I had to check out the result for the You Tube Video girls gone grabbling.
The animation lasts only a few seconds and then it gets more interesting.

Went to Ruth’s Chris for my last birthday. It was great, I loved it. I have not been there in years.

Had a bad experience about ten years ago in one of their restaurants and gave up on them.

Too bad it is so expensive or I would go more often then once a year.

Living on SS makes it a special occasion every time.

We do have a great French restaurant not too far away and we are in the boonies of Northern Virginia. Went there the last time on my giant Lotto winnings of $50.

The fun part of catfish grabbin is when your boat drifts under low hanging breaches and a mocassin falls in the boat with you.

Yup, I have heard it called noodlin’. Unfortunately, my wife was not impressed with Ruth’s and we don’t have one near Melbourne Beach, Florida. I have to settle for the Steakback Outhouse.
