   Gore didn’t create the problem, and Stayskal’s ignorance won’t stop it. Americans, a sad number, also were convinced there were WMDs in Iraq, despite all the evidence contrary to polls. So beware which “wisdom” you fall to.

   Yes the best way to deal with a problem you don’t like is to say it is not true and then make fun of it.

   Bush and the boys did smother a report from their own people that said they were wrong about Global Warming.

   The problem is calling it Global Warming which makes it sound like suddenly it’s going to be 90 degrees all over the world when the real problem is than a change of only a couple of degrees leads to big changes in the weather.

   Howie, this problem began over 100 years ago, and was NOT political, which is my point. It only became political when defense of the folks CAUSING the problems started funding fraudulent arguments against the facts. Those same folks, oddly, that were protesting too much only three years ago, are now “searching for solutions” as the GOOD GUYS!! Now THAT is political!

   Relax sip some tea brewed using natural gas released by nuclear blasts that broke up rock, freed the gas, and well, caused “minor” problems. Even with wind power, the “clean” aspect is problematic- WE are the species at the top of the energy food chain, and thus produce the most “waste product”.

   dtrout - what an ego you have! you greatly overestimate the significance of mankind on planet Earth. We are passing through history, and hard as we might try, we cannot impact the natural changes in climate. Did dinosaur farts cause their extinction? The biggest factor in worldwide temperature, believe it or not, is the SUN! Surface activity on good old Sol reaches our atmosphere in a few years, and THAT affects our global temperature.

    PS - AVATRBR, try “watching” BBC and a few others rather gleaning the net for what you want said. There were several good programs on BBC this past weekend that DID NOT support what you’ve referenced.

    Canuck - thanks for your post. After all, this is a comic site, and humor is appropriate. The way I heard it is that global warming was caused when Hillary, Tipper, and Reno had simultaneous hot flashes. (It shouldn’t happen to the fridgid!)

    Is Al Gore fat? Maybe just “full-figured.”
