Just how do you fund a $4T 2009 budget with a $1.86T deficit?
Unforeseen circumstances arose and it isn’t our fault but we must tax the middle class once again.
The Democrats protect unions, trial lawyers and welfare. The Republicans protect big business and defense. Both say screw you to the middle class.

And then there’s the broken record of “No new taxes” that led to the highest tax increase, ever.

trout–don’t recall Clinton saying that; but yes he did increase to greatest rate ever!

Of course. Just like everyone who expected a financial crash was considered a fearmonger or a loony a few years ago.
When it happens, we will talk about it. For now, it’s all opinions.

I though political cartoons were supposed to have some wit and humor in them. This one seems to be quite devoid of either.

Just like too many of the comments are devoid of thought and reason. We’ve got lots of vague generalities though! And name calling, lots of that. If name calling were constructive the recession/depression would be over and we’d all have free health care.
