    Cheaper to let it run then pay somebody to turn it off.

    Friend of mine toured the Ford plant over in St Paul. He needed a new door hinge for his Mazda pickup which is the same as the Ford Ranger. As he passed the guy who installed door hinges he asked about one. The worker dropped one on the floor and said “policy won’t allow me to pick that up, it’s too inefficient.” Voila – free hinge.
