Going to war had been Congress’ job from day One, until about Korea, when the UN ‘Police Action’ was called. (It’s since been admitted, it was a War.)
We need to go ahead and rename DoD the DoW, its real function.
“Remember the Maine” and Pearl Harbor were put-up jobs, to tip-over the Congress (and my folks were at Kaneohe that morning, yes it was awful, but probably preventable too.)
Since the sail days, it’s been about Oil; it still is.
Until the Saudis, Iranians, and rest of the mideast use their oil to turn their sand into quiet electric sunshades, we’ll bicker about Our Oil under Their Sand.

It IS interesting that Reagan, Bush 41, and 43, all took a different interpretation of the Constitutional requirement, Grenada, Panama, Iraq actually, but the “right” didn’t mind their abuse of the Constitution, or the actual “charge” they were granted by Congress.

Now Obama has followed the rules, and is being BLAMED for it???
