That’s the pace of work by most government employees.

It’s life sir, but not as we know it.
Clive Jenkins is a famous historian who portrays Thomas Jefferson on the radio show, the Jefferson hour. He does 30-45 mins of his show in the ‘voice’ and character of Jefferson, then finishes the show as himself talking about the topics just covered. I recommend it.
My wife and I are also members of Colonial Wiliamsburg where we have watched many reenactors speaking in the voice of Washington, Patrick Henry, and other founding fathers. These professional actors study their personages thoroughly and address issues in the attitude and tone of those peoples based on their own writings,
This two party system is not what anyone really wanted except for Alexander Hamilton who really wanted a very centralized Federal Government as he believed the “common man” lacked the wisdom or sense to vote for the right people to lead them.
Sadly, there have been people elected that might cause Hamilton to feel validated in his opinion, but these people are thought to be the exception rather than the rule.
If our nation is to advance or lead on this world, we need an education system that actually teaches children how to compete on a planet that is not as burdened with dogma and narrow mindedness as ours sometimes seems. We need an infrastructure that is not vulnerable to cyber attacks, and sensible regulations enforcing common sense rules with severe and consistent penalties for wrong doing.
    Respectfully,
    & Happy Holidayze,
    C.

Good luck. According to liberals and democrats we have to dumb down our education system so that anyone can pass.

This weekend there was quite a hatchet job on Jefferson in the NY Times op ed section.
    .
But to get back on topic … Things will be resolved shortly after January 1 if not before. Republicans have almost no cards left in their deck. This is a no-brainer how it will turn out.

Bah Humbug! Just jump and see what happens. Maybe the President can get Bill Clinton to do a cameo in the Oval Office, I mean, it’s his tax rates, right?

The GOP must be owned by the Koch bros. Have they been to the crossroads? Their sacred cow is keep giving the 1% more tax cuts, or keeping them from paying more taxes (at the same rate the middle class pays)

All are taxed exactly the same per the law.

@onguard. actually, we are not. that’s what the fight is about. everyone is taxed the same on the first 250k. after that certain taxes disappear. so people who make over 250k are taxed less (far less) on the monies that make ABOVE that amount. why do you suppose that is?
