Because Obama refuses to meet in the middle

Where is that, exactly?

Yeah, John gets 71,000 votes and Barrack gets 60,000,000. More total votes for Democratic house reps than Republican house reps. I get it.

Obama won. The middle has shifted to the left. It will shift farther left with the new Congress.

63% of Americans back Obama’s demand that tax rates go up on the top income brackets. The Republicans are opposing this at great peril to their future.

Boehner just proposed a deal that Obama would have agreed to 2 years ago. Boehner didn’t have the sense to know a gift when it was sitting in front of him.
Since then, it has become clear that an overwhelming majority back higher rates on the top bracket. Obama has said he is willing to deal on the cuts, but the GOP waited until today to make any kind of counter offer. They thought Obama would negotiate against himself as he’s done in the past.
Let the Republicans own the spending cuts they want.

Barry got about 4 Million LESS votes than he did 4 years ago. Btw Boehner wasn’t elected Speaker by 71k voters. He was nominated by a majority of The House of Representatives. You know about those people elected by the entire country to represent us, right?
