   This is a frightening image.

   What the window displays is a plethora of “Single Issue Voter” catch phrases.
   .
   The thing about “Single issue” is that it only works when there is a… you guessed it Single Issue.
   .
   It works when everything else is kept on the “oh sure, that too but THIS!”
   .
   Do the phunts give it one more once to the “single issue” and if so what will it be?
   .
   Abortion? I think they’ll let that be a down low issue from now on.

   Gay? That’s a loser of the youth vote and the rest of the nation. Now that everybody knows that they know that probably 10% of the people that you know are probably gay, and you’re ok with that… Can’t see that one(s) catching fire.

   Religion? That’s a Millennial issue. People have gotten over their fear of dying from God’s wrath because of the calendar.

   Immigration? Played out, and with the drug war coming to an end…

   Global Warming! That could work for them! Single issue, combating Global Warming! Building crap that will save us from swimming to work! We can’t trust those tree huggers, they’re too backwards for a forward looking party like the Republicans! The solution is science! Not Conservation! (Those danged tree hugging Conservatavationists, weren’t they those TEA bagging mouth breathers!)

   I understand they let ethnic Africans and Southern Europeans and other non-WASPS vote, just because they were born in the USA.

   
   This is clearly unconstitutional.

   
   If we can get decent voter qualification systems into place for ’14 and ’16, so only WASPs can vote, then we can have a decent hymenoptera of an election and elect a Romney instead of an Obama!

   Where I live, abortion and gay rights will never die as an issue for the Rs. A democratic governor asked our local well-liked, well-respected Republican delegate to become a member of his cabinet, and the guy was immediately blackballed from the party because he was a turncoat. He wanted to cooperate, of all things.

   The Republican party, as it is now, is doomed to die a slow and un-self-aware death. At this time, it’s not enough to believe one way on one single issue; you have to believe the same way as everyone else on every single issue, or you don’t belong. This will lead to increasing exclusivity, which will dilute voting strength.

   There is one other possibility, and that is that the Tea Party people and religious-right people leave the Republican party to form their own. If that were the case, and only Moderate Republicans were left (they could come out of hiding), I think we’d be surprised at how many Democrats the party could siphon off.

   I think we’ll get to that fork in the road soon enough.
