    Bush gave Ashcroft executive privilege for DOJ memos that never left the DOJ and were never sent to the White House, which means that they were not even covered under that statute. And the GOP Congress never followed up on that.

    If I tried that when I was a kid, I would have been spanked for it. One of my family’s high expectations was Education…. so I was very scared & confused during 10th grade. (Turns out my Geometry teacher didn’t want to teach girls, so he kept putting 0s on my homework even though I had done everything right.)

    Executive privilege would mean the parents refusing to let the kid read the note the teacher sent them. You have to be an executor in order to claim the privilege. (Duh)

    The presumption is that the kid and the parents are coequal branches of the family. The government might assert the child has coequal rights, and liberals would agree. I don’t.

    How do you come up with this statement?
    The Massacre that kept being used to present Saddam as an evil dictator occurred back during the Reagan administration.

Bush left the Kurds hanging when they rose up against Saddam after he was driven out of Kuwait, and he not only killed tens of thousands of them with poison gas, he destroyed their ecosystem, too.
