“More than 53% of Americans are against Obamacare; but Obama and Pelosi keep with their scare tactic speeches.”
Which Obamacare, exactly? The Obamacare, with the public option, the Obamacare the Senate suggested, the Obamacare of the House, the several other Obamacare plans around, or the one that Obama proposed? Some of the talking points I’ve heard don’t even apply to the last version of the system - a lot of people are angry that the current plans are too weak and full of handouts for the insurers, or just want the entire thing to be settled once and for all.
Anyway, the part about Obama and Pelosi’s “scare tactics” made me chuckle. That bit about the pot and the kettle never gets old - the other side of the debate has been using them aplenty. The GOP talking points about how healthcare reform would ruin the country, how a public option would run private providers out of business, or how reform would kill quality certainly would qualify, and don’t get me started on the less official catchphrases.
