At least Irish cartoonists have Islam pegged. Their knowledge of US values is skewed by their view from a pub.

“Because individuals and institutions and societies most often live down to the suspicions about them, hypocrisy and its accompanying equivocations underpin the conduct of life.

Imagine how frightful truth unvarnished would be.”

You are assuming the values of the speaker in the cartoon are his own. He may just be parroting what he knows will get him into the country, by repeating the values of Trump and his supporters. And I have no idea what your second sentence means.

The right-wing helping recruit for ISIS with their hate speech. What kind of values would be required to enter this country? Could our citizens pass this same test? Should we?

    The Trump Political Correctness Test

I agree, the cartoonist nailed it, unfortunately. As to the meaning of the second sentence – I believe he is referring to an anti-Irish stereotype (i.e. see “institutionally racist”).

This cartoon is a total fraud.
Everyone knows that the meaning of Extreme Vetting cannot yet be released because it is still being audited.

“Now, the most important question… would you like to buy a copy of The Art of the Deal?
    “I’ll take two!”
    “You’re in!”

Don’t know who did this but if he thinks that is what America is about he has a lot to learn about my country.

Well, I’m not fond of guns, overpowered pickup trucks, or capital punishment, and I don’t think any religion has a monopoly on truth. I think very few are in favor of institutionalized racism, but I think there’s disagreement about whether it exists in this country, and I think military action in other countries should only be used as a last resort (i.e. not preemptively).

Nonetheless, I can see how outsiders might look at America and see everything the person shown here sees.

Tell me: Are you also concerned that the cartoonist has a lot to learn about refugees from Muslim countries, or do you think he got that part spot-on?

Prior to 2001 I would have taken exception to an Irishman preaching proper behaviour to us but thanks to W et al, I can’t anymore.
