Prism and the drones. Keeping every good person in the world safe from the evil persons in the world.

The leaders of the EU have announced that no plane may fly from Moscow to Latin America without being searched for Snowdens.

Of course, even if the European heads of state let the planes cross Europe, they’d still have to fly over US airspace, but it’s easier and cheaper for the US to use Prism and the drones. As President Obama said, he isn’t going to scramble US jets to catch ‘a 29 year old hacker’, not when he can do it with Prism. ‘Thrift, Horatio, thrift.’

I think Europe is more capable of finding a drone in their air space then in the Middle East.

Imagine the tactics used in other places are used here for law enforcement by way of drones and targeted murder.

Ahrrr! Ahrrr! Wasn’t it you who explained where the sabot, in sabotage came from? That wooden shoes?(sabots) were tossed into the moving working of wind mills to break the moving pegging wheels (sabotage) to prevent grain from being ground into flour, etc.

“If 1 drone replaces 50 pairs of boots, I’m for it.

Except it’s a false economy, if one can call callous murder that. What you save, you rake in more hatred as dividends. Drones are just plain stupidity. Obama embracing it means he has dropped in my estimation of him.”meh", you & I say.

”And since you’re not paying us for the service anyway,“

Oh yes, they are. They actually do pay but also rake it in even more (secondary support services generate jobs and boosts local economies). Your country also got to play big honcho and entered new consumer markets, spreading American consumer joy everywhere. It was a symbiotic relationship which both parties benefited from. It suited your country’s economy just dandy.

With the end of the Cold War, Europe strategically isn’t as important as before, Americans are leaving their European bases and heading East. Whew, at long last. Although Chagossians are still suffering and I don’t foresee tensions decreasing much in their back-yard, the Pacific. But hey, sell more burgers to the Koreans.

”I don’t think you get to complain, anyway."

I don’t think they get to complain for totally different reasons: because they’re at it, too. It’s faux outrage.

I also dislike Van Dam very much and wish GC would stop putting up so many of his crappy ’toons here.

I do but you may have missed during the past 40 years as our military and police have been cross pollinating. Many police agencies could pass for militaires these days. Not me ask them.
