The youtube video of a mob killing a good student told the real story of Chicago and the rest of the world wants nothing to do with those kinds of animals.

Rio de Janeiro has no moral authority over Chicago hehe. But I’m glad Chicago didn’t get the Olympics, it would have just padded the purses of all the Demoncrat cockroaches who nest there…

Acorrding to news reports a member from the IOC from Austrailia put the blame of fellow IOC members from Asia (Japan China South Korea,Chinese Taipei, ETC…) for forming a “Bloc” to vote aganst the Chicago bid & favor heavily towards Tokyo bid for the 2016 Summer olympics even though Tokyo was eliminated in the second round

I guess this puts a wet blanket on Obama’s “king of the world” bid.

Oh come on, the Olympics have not been on the South American before. So why not. Now I would bet my bottom teeth there was a lot of under the table bs of pay offs and and other under handed deals. But in the end a good decision was made. I even support Obama going over there and putting his hat into the ring personally. Why not? For better or worse he is the face of the USA.
Now my cynical side is laughing about the 1st round reject. And I also wonder what will become of the slums Obama miss managed while he was in Chicago, that pay off is not going to happen now.

The United States is reduced to being a beggar, a second world nation populated by a whole bunch of scared, angry but feckless cattle. The corrupt, bungling US is a laughing stock around the globe…like a great big North Korea…only stupider.

“Obama…For better or worse he is the face of the USA.”

This may be an argument against world leaders shilling for the Olympics: it politicizes the process.

Unfortunately, the process is terminally politicized. I also think there is prejudice against the US for a history of Olympic drug abuse.

Of course that is my 2nd point of how well our Community organizer in chief did such a wonderful job in the windy city. Soon our whole country can look like the run down slums he managed there. I mean just look what great school systems he managed to leave behind.
mm mmmm mm B H O mmmm mm mmm Lets sing his praises of the job he did.

    harleyquinn’s first comment was reasonable.
—–> ‘I’m coming to join you, Elizabeth.’

The current effort to equitably distribute the Olympics means it had to be in Brazil. Obama’s effort, using the prestige of his office, was obviously futile. So, was the effort:

    A: noble.
    B: stupid.
    C. inappropriate
    D. All of the above
    E. None of the above

    ???????????

  14. harleyquinn

harleyquinnGenius_badge said, about 1 month ago

    E. none of the above because it was F. he saw the personal gain in paying off some cronies that helped put him into office.

I do not know how “futile” it was to promote the USA in a good way. Put a good face on things so to speak. Is that not what the President is to do? Make us look good in the eyes of the world?
1st round reject, but I thought it is Obama that is the why the world loves us now… at least that is the bill of goods that was being advertised during the election.

    ^^ Michaelwme: A) Noble.

The other bid cities had their heads of state or PM attend.
If Obama didn’t attend, I think he would have received more flak because then he could be criticised for not supporting Chicago while King Carlos of Spain did for Madrid, President Lula of Brazil did for Rio de Janeiro and PM Hatoyama of Japan did for Tokyo.

ok, how’s this for preposterously confusing and misstating an issue

    -nothing was futile
    -nothing was stupid
    -nothing was inappropriate
    -nothing was even noble

Obama did what presidents and kings do

at the very least he demonstrated his affection for his country and hometown

    do you?
