wtfall: Israel predates the Roman occupational name of “Palestine” by a couple thousand years.
Never understood the bee ess argument that the world is somehow supposed to preserve a Roman occupation which ended back in the 4th century AD.
The people of Israel, meanwhile, have never ceased to exist. Israel has never ceased to exist. And the so-called “Palestinians” have repeatedly tried to murder all the Jews, regardless of how much the Israelis have tried to make peace.
You people who side with the so-called “Pals” are just haters imo. You side with murderous savages over normal, peace-loving people. :/
Actually, the Palestinian people date back thousands of years before the hebrews invaded Palestine, and they were repeatedly mentioned in the old testament which was written in their language(Hebrew is a dialect of the Cananite language). they were highly civilised people and gave to the world the alphabet. Palestinians lived in the area now called Palestine , Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. they also had colonies in southern Europe and northern Africa .Their king Hannibal almost conquered Rome.The Hebrews tried to stay in a small part of Palestine for a short period but they melted in history 2,000 years ago.
Scooter might try reading the Old Testament again and read who went over the hill to kill their neighbors and steal their lands. He can’t even read the “book of hate your neighbor” right.
scott, are you basing your knowledge of Jewish occupation of the land solely on Old Testament accounts? This is important to know because that will help us understand your point of view and how best to address you.
Either way, how far back should one go? Abraham? Joshua? Abraham, as Genesis tells us, lived peacefully with the people who preceded him there. Only upon the death of Sarah did he purchase any land, a field in which his wife was buried. Joshua of course came in and – according to scripture – destroyed at least some towns of the original inhabitants. However, the original inhabitants were never totally driven out, and archeological evidence does not show that they ever left completely. I would like to know what your sources are. Thanks.

I am afraid that for some, facts do not exist. Rather their beliefs (whatever they may be) are the only things which carry weight in their minds.
