Of course because all problems in the middle east were started by Bush and in no way are they longer term problems that preceded our favorite scape goat..
WestTex13, please get the chip off your shoulder. Anyone who has been following the sequence of events in the Middle East knows full well that Bush was only the latest in a long series of poor decisions by us and a lot of others (and that is leaving out the many indigeneous quarrels in the area). The problem is that neither Bush, nor yet Obama, has stepped up to using whatever influence we may have to ameliorate the problems here, but it is only one of the many problems we have to try to solve.
Its not a chip Fennec its pointing out the childish blame game.. As long as people are willing to note its a sequence of events and not one person then its fine but our extreme liberal and conservative friends seem to have problems clearing the air long enough to do that cause finger pointing is just easier..
Exactly, West, and because I think you are also a reasonable person, I asked you to moderate your comment, which you did. Thank you. I truly believe that the more we do this the better our understanding and progress will be.
Actually I think your right Fennec we (Not you and I per say but all bloggers in general) would probably have less barbed disagreements if this were a real life discussion instead of a blog where we fail to communicate key points and people latch on to the words instead of what a person meant and we aren’t available for instant clarification..
I’ve been hooked (barb – get it) Yeah it is kind of funny whatever evil is going on it’s always the last guys fault, or the current guys fault… depending on your perspective. Truth is some of these problems (middle east no exception) have been a LONG time coming and are ridiculously complex – lots of players, lots of reasons. Unfortunately, there’s a lot a bad stuff going on in the world and we can’t cure it all. And sometimes even if you try, it just gets worse. Sad.

Yes, we know.
But it’s the Quagmire that Bush should have taken care of first.

American foreign policy is the reason why the rest of the world thinks America is made up mostly of idiots. The Internet confirms this theory.
