Speaking of feeling being the centre of the world or universe (child throwing tantrum in cartoon), I always found how each country around the world represents the globe, in 2D or 3D, fascinating.Usually the angle or centre of the globe would focus on their country or continent. So I’d always see Africa as the 1st recognisable continent. Now in Europe, in 3D relief the angle doesn’t change much but I often get the impression Europe is more in focus; no difference in 2D representations. Looking at US American representations, of course the US is in the centre of the 2D maps…So I was a little puzzled by this cartoon: the artist is South Korean, the subject is Syrian, Assad. Neither country is visible in his globe representation.

Anyway, just a throwaway observation.
