Sometimes the best thing is to just step back and let a country go to Hell in its own way.

But if Theobama had just stood up for liberty and freedom, like other American Presidents have done in the past, it would have helped. He’s now in the running for our worst president ever. Jimmy Carter has nothing to worry about.

    Irish,
We have absolutely no influence over Iran’s internal affairs no matter what Obama may have said or done. We couldn’t do anything about China and Tiennamin and we can’t do anything about N Korea and their people. I could keep going but it would be a waste of time.
Also, take a moment to read Fennec’s link to the Guardian commentary. He has it listed on several recent cartoons. The Guardian may be a little left wing for you but the article is still worth reading.

Well, it’s better than our President’s stance, which is, instead of biting, just firmly implant his head up there …

This cartoon is pretty gross. Eww.

It may be gross, but it is probably fairly close to what is going on. I still am betting on a byzantine set of plays by the factions of clerics in Qom as the real story in Iran.

fennec, doos, “I still am betting on a byzantine set of plays by the factions of clerics in Qom as the real story in Iran.” it sounds like it’s going to make some sense. can you translate it forward? i sense your depth - it would be difficult to miss it. but for the sake of the funky little white-woman, could you elucidate?

(btw, on the visceral ((scuseme)) end of things, ilovethis toon)
