CF, given enough time in Alaska I believe she’ll find she’s her own worst enemy:

This would be a nightmarish sequel no sane person could possibly want. Let’s hope that Obama does such an awesome job as president that he is a shoo-in for 2012.

    I said it before:
The GOP is so far gone that in 2012 the only ones that will run under the GOP banner will be Palin/Limbaugh. Secretary of State, guess who? Lieberman.
    you take it from there.

They’ll probably make the same mistake they did this time - run an old guy. They haven’t seen the generational shift that’s taking place, or thought they could stop/buck/forestall it. But the ‘usual suspects’ will still be around. I wouldn’t put it past Guiliani to try again (classic old guy), Romney will still be in the mix, the Arkansas governor, what was his name - Mike something (really made an impression). It will take a lot of courage to want to run under that banner … or stupidity. No shortage of that in the GOP.

CF – I can believe they did… at the very least to save the seat. There is much conjecture that he will step down upon sentencing and SP-itbull will appoint someone else.

Eugeno, it is over for Giuliani… he’ll just be making $ and that’s not much to show folks what you have been doing for 4 years when 2012 is here!

eugeno- it was Mike Huckabee and he will probably be on the ticket if income taxes skyrocket being that he was a big supporter of the Fair/Flat Tax. Romney also if the economy isn’t in full up swing, a lot of the republicans think he is good in that sector. personally i think they will probably try to toss in Micheal Steel just to try to counter-balance Obama but i don’t see him getting the nomination for incumbency.i hope that Ron Paul will run again but 4 years is a long time, a lot can happen.
