    This is more of a views of the world rather than business. That being said it is wrong. I know we are both outraged at each other, Henry Reid calling John Boehner a coward and conservatives anarchists, then giving a lecture on civility.

    Even the Dutch get it. Too bad the low information voters here don’t.

    Low information voters? You mean the 69% of 18-29 year olds who love Obamacare but are unaware of the individual mandate? Those who don’t know the difference between the debt ceiling and the deficit or why our credit rating matters? I love how you call them Low Information Voters when maybe, just maybe, they’re even more informed but just don’t agree with you.

    Thanks Tea Party for degrading our reputation world wide.

    @jack75287

    It was Boehner who contradicted himself and sided with the 80 Tea Party members to stop a vote on a clean bill. If he had done that it would have passed and we wouldn’t be in this totally artificial problem.

    Blame the corporations and Texas for shoddy text books that don’t cover those subjects.

    Van Dam just isn’t brainwashed by the DISinformation propaganda pouring from the TEA pot!

    Cantor is now on, pumping out more of their total hypocrisy!! They didn’t throw out tacks, they threw out spike strips, now plead “OH, not US!” The truck needs tire chains to get through the B.S. and even REACH the nails!

    The GOP will reap what it sows! Americans recognize the GOP’s destructive action, despite the tissue of lies spewing from Faux News and the Reich-wing media.

    Anger , vitriol , name calling , hate – all coming from enlightened left wing commenters. Time for aromatherapy maybe?

    Maybe Van Dam should be paying more attention to what’s going on in his own backyard:

    "King Willem-Alexander delivered a message to the Dutch people from the government in a nationally televised address: the welfare state of the 20th century is gone.

    “In its place a “participation society” is emerging, in which people must take responsibility for their own future and create their own social and financial safety nets, with less help from the national government.

    “The king traveled past waving fans in an ornate horse-drawn carriage to the 13th-century Hall of Knights in The Hague for the monarch’s traditional annual address on the day the government presents its budget for the coming year. It was Willem-Alexander’s first appearance on the national stage since former Queen Beatrix abdicated in April and he ascended to the throne.

    ""The shift to a ‘participation society’ is especially visible in social security and long-term care," the king said, reading out to lawmakers a speech written for him by Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s government.

    “‘The classic welfare state of the second half of the 20th century in these areas in particular brought forth arrangements that are unsustainable in their current form.’”

    Dutch King Willem-Alexander declares the end of the welfare state: Youngest monarch in Europe says people must take responsibility for their own future and create their own social and financial safety nets

    Yes, the Socialists, Labor Unions, Employer’s Associations, and Left-Wing Economics are upset.
