Build Keystone and we wouldn’t have to put up with all these $%!!S so much.

Good riposte. They are asking us to take all the risk for zero gain – and those multiple thousands of “jobs” are temporary construction work only, even while Republicans slap down all attempts to repair and improve our infrastructure.

Interesting that some of that oil from Canada, as from Venezuela, will make its way to Honduras. But; the real issue is while Syria has very little oil, it’s discord in the region that keeps the market up, so, do the oil cartels REALLY want peaceful resolutions, and well, total peace?

First how do you know, second even if we get only 1/5 of that oil we will still be better off. Last I have heard your statement but I don’t think I have seen a single post.

Even if we weren’t using oil or coal the leaders still want an empire and would stick their claws in other places or to stop others from getting access.

Same as lichtentunes, You haven’t shown any great understanding of the world here.

I wrote today about self righteousness on another thread, I see I should have saved that for you.

I remember seeing Bush signing TARP into law – frankly, he was scared sh*tless that the country was sliding into a depression that had been manufactured by the finance industry. Frankly, TARP wasn’t large enough to accommodate the bailouts of the financial giants and get people into jobs. And it didn’t help things to have Republicans obstruct those efforts (and privately get as many dollars as they could).
