   or you mean that NOT building 300 billion dollars worth of jet engines for fighter jets that have been cancelled (on bohners district), or NOT spending 300 million renovating 40 year old tanks that were junked in the mojave desert (that the military says it doesn’t want or need) will somenow make americas military weak?

   The first Mushroom cloud in the US will not need a ICBM, N Korea and Iran have short and medium range one that can be put on any small ship and brought into range……..Then there are shipping containers, suitcases. Golf Bags on and on.

   That is, regrettably, how it will be done. The concept isn’t that new. The Nazis wanted to hit New York, but didn’t have the “V5” for that range. So they planned to put V2’s into submersible tubes and drag them to the coast by submarines. The plan never got traction (too late in the war) but with terrorists and martyrs the situation is different. But to smuggle a bomb onshore you either need to be very lucky or know exactly what you are doing, DHS has a few tricks up their sleeves:

    The country that detonates a nuke in the USA will either get nukes in return, or…in exchange for the USA NOT nuking in response, every civilized nation on the planet will join us in removing everyone involved in chains or on slabs.
    In North Korea’s case, China might do it all by their selves to keep the resulting nuclear cloud from drifting over their borders.
    North Korea will never launch a nuke. They will sell it to someone who will smuggle it in a container by sea or across the border in Mexico, especially now that lobbyists have convinced our legislators to allow Mexican trucking companies to drive products anywhere in the country across the border.
    And once the details are known and the wpn is identified as North Korean, Pyongyang will suffer.

    in Switzerland and he – as I – grew up under
    the threat of Global Nuclear War. I believe
    nobody growing up like this would actually
    push the button. You would know what it
    means. Kennedy and Khrushchev didn’t, they
    grew up during WW2. But we know.

    Why not a western country? His father reportedly had a big appetite for western booze and other items.

    If he wanted, he could have a hundred corporations airlifting stuff into NK in return for future access to their market.
