This looks remarkably like the cartoon posted on “ViewsLatinAmerica.” Same car.

That’s because Shrank is Swiss, which is located in the Andes. Near Ireland, just south across the border from Northern Chile.

I thought he traded it in for a Volt.

I know Americans are bad at geography but please everyone knows that the Swiss are part of the willy wonka kingdom in queensland

Harley, Volt sales have picked up in the past two months. You need to keep up with the news before continuing tired and no-longer-accurate conservative memes. (The Volt was developed during the Bush administration anyway).

If Mitt had his way, it would be a Yugo.

Actually, you’re wrong. Volt Sales are slumping from their high in March

The Volt is also costing about 80k to build. Way to go government!

They missed the part when the car nearly falls into the abyss.

What bugs me more, Bruce, is that the Gocomics admin don’t pay too much attention to the Views section. Every time actual cartoons are posted, too few now, they reveal how the Views section is an afterthought. Probably a burden for them to update these pages. I realise there are hundreds of cartoons being updated daily; however, this is more than likely to be automated.
The Views section requires human interaction. It was about celebrating international Viewpoints, moving Americans away from their insularity. They have to source cartoons that should match the section. But of late, that process has been more shoddy than usual. It actually shows how insular the Gocomics admins are! Precisely what the Views section is designed to combat!
The laziness shown is also despairing.
The same cartoonists are used in the sections time & time again, instead of providing a wider net. When they do move away from their dozen or so international regulars, they put the new one in the wrong section. Shrank is well known in the UK (but he is actually Swiss) and often contributes to the Irish papers, too. But how the heck did he land up in ViewsLatinAmerica and why were 2 of his ‘toons shown the same week but in different sections?
These folks are not serious about these sections’ cartoons; that’s one of the reasons why I stopped paying a subscription.

I believe that, if President Obama should lose the election, he will be the first one to give a deep, deep sigh of relieve. After being treated like DIRT for four years by tens of millions of people leaving office, one way or another, must be nice. If he wins I think he needs a vacation right away to reload his batteries. He’s only human…

Vacation? He hasn’t done anything since he got into office. Besides, you haven’t said anything like that about the past presidents that you hate so much. Odd, no?
