Not sure what the cartoon means, there was a UN Resolution 2085 for an African force to be deployed. …because France stepped in while the African forces were being organised?

For what ever reason the cartoon appears to be comparing Mali with the support Russia and China gave to Syria.

The French weren’t called in, the other African countries were by Mali. Even so it set off the the mass kidnapping because of it. They should all stay out of it.

The article I posted states that Mali’s interim president Dioncounda Traoré asked the French to intervene. The African force deployment was months away from being ready.
