Ah Booker as that anachronism of a by gone era. Rabbit ears. Folks growing up with cable and sattelite today aren’t likely to have gone through the having to adjust the rabbit ears antenna to get the channel to come in the rest of us had to face The real fun was adding strips of aluminum foil then having to adjust the rabbit ears and foil both. But this really does go to show that this isn’t a strip from today. 1986 to 1989, that was the run of U.S. Acres and this was from December 11, 1986. Back when rabbit ears were still very common.
Let’s see I think I broke my right wrist around December 11, 1986, maybe about a week later. That was real fun, trying to write, do homework, carry the tray at lunch time, unwrap presents.

This reminds me of the old Cracked Magazine “SHUT-UPS” cartoons.

And they were copied from the shut-up jokes going around:
Mommy Mommy – why is Daddy limping across the field?
Shut up and help reload.
Daddy Daddy, may I have a nickle for a soda?
Shut up and finish your beer.
Daddy Daddy, may I go out and play with the other kids?
Shut up and deal.
Mommy Mommy, may I lick the bowl?

@F6F5Hellcat Actually, antennas are making a comeback tog et local digital stations, and rabbit ears might not be too far behind.
