Head over to Garfield.com and read the US Acres strips over there. The strip originally ran from ’86 to ’89 and became the middle segment of the old Garfield and Friends cartoon. The main characters were (in order of apperance in the strip) Orson the Pig, Roy the Rooster, Booker the chick, Sheldon the egg with legs, Bo and Lanolin the sheep, and finally Wade the duck with every phobia in the book. Which includes a fear of water hence his character wears a ducky inner tube.

Wade is the duck that wears an inner tube (the kind you would put on a child learning to swim) around his waist and is scared of his own shadow.
