First appearance of Sheldon!
Doesn’t anyone wonder why he never fully hatched?

He’s the running gag in the strip.

Nope. I figure yesterday’s strip, with learning his father-mother likes his brother best cause he was born first, and Friday’s strip, with Booker and his father-mother both picking on him for what he could become, answer that better than the cartoon did.

Well, according to the cartoon, he has another egg under there. I’m not sure about the whole story though.

The strip ended on May 7th, 1989. Sheldon, who is Booker’s twin brother, decides not to hatch. A recurring gag is to portray his shell as the perfect living space within, without ever showing it. In one strip, the shell finally hatched, only to reveal another shell underneath

According to the cartoon, Sheldon got ahold of a newspaper, and freaked when he saw how bad the world was.
