    Is this in reference to Climate Change, Global Warming, or a satire on the fact that in 3000 years or so, we won’t be any smarter than we are now?

    More like a satire on what we know about history. Some things can get lost and/or distorted over time.

    It’s a reference to the fact that in the future, we’ll have so much history that this sort of thing won’t be important.
