Imagine if they had landed a bit further down they could have come up against some aggressive tribes. Oh but he never landed on continental soil. Just on islands inhabited by gentle Anarchists. He killed them or worked them to death.

Columbus Day used to be October 12 every year. In 1971 it was changed to the second Monday in October so that we’d always get a three-day weekend. (Some of us, anyway. A lot of us have to work on Columbus Day.)
