    “And it came to pass…”

    Frankie Howerd starred in “Up Pompeii,” which was directly inspired by “Forum” and had a few of its writers. The characters were named Ludicrous Sextus, Erotica, and James Bondius (no relation). Howerd’s character, Lurcio, always talked to the audience, desperate to finish “The Prologue” before the end of the episode. Never happened. Classic series. You could never get away with a show like this in the States, especially now.

    Like the first version of the Ladykillers better than the remake.
    Alec Guiness and Peter Sellers in the same movie?

    @Bruno Zeigerts

    Ditto for me.
    Still I see where Benny Hill got the last laugh.
