There are billions of goatherds armed with crooks and staffs and ready to conquer the US. Only a military so large it blocks all entrances to the US can keep us safe. Objective, reliable observers have noted that a cut of 10¢ in the military budget is absolutely dangerous. Of course, the cuts don’t begin to start until ’15, so Obama is cutting it close. We all know he wants to make sure the US is a Sharia-compliant Emirate before he leaves office.

All the years, decades, of officers getting the same percentage pay increases, as E-1 privates, hmm, where are those “personnel” costs? But the real problem is all those flag and field grade officers we have too many of, BUYING TOYS from contractors, not managing troops, or actual war fighting. Well if you consider fighting for space in the revolving door between the military side of the revolving door, with the contractor side, I guess there’s a war?

This has more to do with congress people bringing pork back to their districts than anything the military is doing. Boehner got the jet engine contract for his district even when the military brass said they didn’t want or need them.

As Jon Stewart noted yesterday, back when Cheney was Sec. of Defense he proposed a 25% cut. This is small change in comparison.

^Jon only played the tape of Cheney calling for those massive cuts, so your source is obviously flawed and an attempt to defame Cheney and his more recent rants.

I would like to see the Pentagon spend its money more wisely, and hold these contractor’s financially responsible for their mistakes. Taking better care of our combat veterans, who have sacrificed their health, or lives, to defend the interests of Exxon-Mobil, Conoco, BP, etc. would be a good place to start.
