Jules Feiffer has described Tony Auth best, "His perspective is that of a bemused and often angry comic historian. Irony, never a favorite form with Americans, is his meat and potatoes. He is not smug, and though he can be mean, he is never mean-spirited. Auth is a moralist and an optimist. He insists, even in this day and age, that hope is more than the name of a right-wing comedian or the shtick of a reactionary president."

Wow, ANOTHER oxymoron to add to the list.
Right along with “Jumbo Shrimp”, “Genuine Plastic”, “Planned Accident”, and “Military Intelligence”!

Blame Boehner.
The Speaker of the House would not allow the measure to be voted on.
Whether it would do any good is another question, but at the moment the reason for nothing happening is Boehner.

Nope, absolutely accurate. Nice try dodging it, but even you know it is true: the Tea Party GOP stopped aid to victims of Superstorm Sandy.

You know, people often post messages here without headers.

But this is the first time I ever saw someone remember the header and forget the post.

Things do NOT go better with Koch!
Shilly Halliburton said, 5 months ago
@dtroutma Good catch. I remember those articles on Koch demanding no aid for Sandy victims about a week or 2 before Republicans just happen to refuse aid to Sandy victims. What can we expect from people who don’t use American pronunciations for their names.

You can’t really blame the Republicans for not wanting to help victims of the storm. After all, it’s the victims fault Obama was re-elected.
