    Blame Boehner.
The Speaker of the House would not allow the measure to be voted on.
Whether it would do any good is another question, but at the moment the reason for nothing happening is Boehner.

You mean our Tea Party dominated right wing Republican House.

Nope, absolutely accurate. Nice try dodging it, but even you know it is true: the Tea Party GOP stopped aid to victims of Superstorm Sandy.

You know, people often post messages here without headers.
But this is the first time I ever saw someone remember the header and forget the post.

Things do NOT go better with Koch!

@dtroutma Good catch. I remember those articles on Koch demanding no aid for Sandy victims about a week or 2 before Republicans just happen to refuse aid to Sandy victims. What can we expect from people who don’t use American pronunciations for their names.

You can’t really blame the Republicans for not wanting to help victims of the storm. After all, it’s the victims fault Obama was re-elected.

    Liberals Lie.
Fact: a straight bill for “Sandy Storm aid” would only need to be under $30 Billion cost to taxpayers.
The Big Spenders larded the bill with so much domestic and foreign PORK it was over $60 Billion for a treasury that is over the limit of $6.4 Trillion debt now, and is printing dollars that have no backing other than a government “promise”losing value daily.
Speaker Boehner put it on “delay” to give time for removing some of the PORK. The 233 GOP members of the House were also ELECTED….many by voters wanting cuts in federal spending and cuts in deficits and the DEBT.

This is the House bill for $9bln in aid. It has over $80bln in tax breaks and subsidies that benefit the rich. Nothing gets on the bill without Mr. Boehner’s OK. Show the sponsors of these bills. Why would the “tax and spend democrats” add taxbreaks to the bill?

AGAIN, in the midst of a so called fiscal CRISIS a bill is presented to help the people by Congress. The bill was reviewed and found to contain PORK that had no reference to relief for the victims.

Read this and look at paragraph 3 Justice22 and I don’t care who sponsored the bills or it’s earmarks whether they are right or left dems or reps.

It is COMMON PRACTICE to include items like these in bills that have a public appeal or are a public necessity because they are generally passed without scrutiny. It is a practice that must STOP. Write a bill that has NOTHING in it BUT relief provisions for those effected by the HURRICANE.

But no it so much easier to demonize the one that is trying to look out for YOUR money instead of just going along with the graft and corruption COMMON in our government.

(Friday a.m. vote was 354-67 & the Senate is expected to pass it this afternoon)
this is on top of more than $2 Billion fed money already spent for relief efforts in 11 states & D.C. in FEMA aid.
140,000 claims were filed with 115,000 pending Sandy-related.
Boehner has scheduled a vote on Jan.15th on another $51 Billion in “recovery money.”
IMO what is needed is local and state laws on preventing construction of homes/businesses in flood zones.
Or else warning landowners that they must depend on private flood insurance to pay damages and not expect government bailouts.

“Pork-laden relief bill” details in 2-page printout.
I tried to print the article Bruce gave the url for but it was not printer-friendly, although an excellent article.

Try a headline about the amount of pork in this bill. None of these guys learn, even yours.

Bruce, Why do you put a link to a Romney staffer’s article as authentic?
