Jules Feiffer has described Tony Auth best, "His perspective is that of a bemused and often angry comic historian. Irony, never a favorite form with Americans, is his meat and potatoes. He is not smug, and though he can be mean, he is never mean-spirited. Auth is a moralist and an optimist. He insists, even in this day and age, that hope is more than the name of a right-wing comedian or the shtick of a reactionary president."

NJ has a beach? Really? I guess I am spoiled by all the beaches in Florida, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands.

Other than having a republican governor, New Jersey is a very democratic state, always has been. Can’t throw rocks at the conservatives, the state is administered by liberals…

You can’t get a bill through Trenton without Chris Christie’s signature – unless he vetoes it and the General Assembly overrides Christie’s veto!

You just had to muddy mickey’s comment with facts and reality didn’t you?

I don’t understand what you are trying to say. Both the NJ Senate and NJ House are overwhelmingly Democratic (as are the 2 US Senators). Why blame Christie for what the Democrats do? They must pass any bill before it becomes the law. It seems if the Democrats pass a law and Christie signs it you put all the blame on Christie. Does that even make sense to you?

Hey, I’ve invented a new drink to commemorate Hurricane Sandy.
(Well, not really a “new” drink, I suppose; it’s just sort of a watered-down Manhattan.)

That is exactly what the republicans claim when there is a democrat president and a republican congress. Why is it okay when you’re blaming a democrat executive but not okay when there’s a republican executive (governor or president)? Can we say double standards? The *ONLY standards the republicans have.

But, But, FEMA was supposed to take care of this and not Tax Payers

You have zero right to talk about double standards as you yourself have double standards. You said nothing at all when Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House and Harry Reid was Senate Majority Leader from January 2007 to December 2010 and during this time frame they failed to pass one single budget as required by law.
You said nothing when the Democrats voted to extend the Bush Tax Cuts in late December 2010, and you were silent when Obama failed to veto this stupid bill which would have meant the Rich would be paying the Clinton Era IRS Tax rates.
