Jules Feiffer has described Tony Auth best, "His perspective is that of a bemused and often angry comic historian. Irony, never a favorite form with Americans, is his meat and potatoes. He is not smug, and though he can be mean, he is never mean-spirited. Auth is a moralist and an optimist. He insists, even in this day and age, that hope is more than the name of a right-wing comedian or the shtick of a reactionary president."

Tony! So true. Those in the middle class voting for Romney are voting themselves into poverity, no education, no healthcare, no environmental regulations…

None are so blind, as today’s “republicans”.

@dtroutma
Blind as in you can’t see that it’s a human baby and not a mass of cells?
<>
Blind as in you can’t see that the male sex organ was not designed to fit the male anus?
<>
Blind as in you don’t understand that you can’t keep giving out money to everyone under the sun who wants it because eventually you run out?
<>
Blind as in not understanding that marriage is between a man and a woman and your pathetic attempts to redefine it are like trying to call a cat a dog?
<>
Yeah, that kind of blind!

Hmm! I see you came so close to say that this is “God” punishment toward your perceived sinners.

With only a few days left, there is very little opportunity for nuance, so I will just tell you from my gut. I never in my lifetime thought I would see a creepier politician than Richard Nixon, but in the last few days, it became clear that Willard Mitt Romney is really, really creepy. Icky creepy, as my granddaughter would put it.

But many heterosexuals love to pput it into a female anus, which it fits quite well. How is the male and female anus designed differently?

I…I…I fear death deeply in the heart of my nards…I must be Liberal! Where in the hell is my Federal-Government provided safety bubble? (Made from green resources, of course).

KING: What else, Governor Romney? You’ve been a chief executive of a state. I was just in Joplin, Missouri. I’ve been in Mississippi and Louisiana and Tennessee and other communities dealing with whether it’s the tornadoes, the flooding, and worse. FEMA is about to run out of money, and there are some people who say do it on a case-by-case basis and some people who say, you know, maybe we’re learning a lesson here that the states should take on more of this role. How do you deal with something like that?
ROMNEY: Absolutely. Every time you have an occasion to take something from the federal government and send it back to the states, that’s the right direction. And if you can go even further and send it back to the private sector, that’s even better.
Instead of thinking in the federal budget, what we should cut—we should ask ourselves the opposite question. What should we keep? We should take all of what we’re doing at the federal level and say, what are the things we’re doing that we don’t have to do? And those things we’ve got to stop doing, because we’re borrowing $1.6 trillion more this year than we’re taking in. We cannot…
KING: Including disaster relief, though?
ROMNEY: We cannot—we cannot afford to do those things without jeopardizing the future for our kids. It is simply immoral, in my view, for us to continue to rack up larger and larger debts and pass them on to our kids, knowing full well that we’ll all be dead and gone before it’s paid off. It makes no sense at all.
Talk about twisting someones words. Romney was not talking about only FEMA but ALL federal programs. Is it so important we should borrow from China to do it? Well? Is it?

You tell me since Romney shipped his share of jobs to China.
Bruce4671 said, 7 months ago
@Radish
As has your hero Obama, here why don’t you apply for one.

but wait I forgot, this is all a lie. GM doesn’t have any connection to China and the Italian owner of Chrysler will not make Jeeps in Italy.
Still… tell me what does any of this have to do with FEMA?

You made a generic statement. Don’t you even understand what it means to “paint with a broad brush?” I do.

That is just as degenerate as males doing the same thing. There is one place and one place only that the erect organ is supposed to go and only one thing it is supposed to do. Anything else is a violation of design and function.

The male sex organ fits into the male (or female) anus. You should try it sometime.

The link shows Romney then and now.
Orthodox Catholic has never told me what penalties she/he would levy on women, doctors, and fathers who help girlfriends/spouses. I see I can add gay people to this list, and I think heterosexual fornicators as well.
Orthodox is obviously a two issue voter for whom millions in need of FEMA means nothing until those issues are first addressed. 79 are dead so far. Pregnant women are unable to get to hospitals in NYC to have babies unless they are in a part of town that still has electricity and flood free hospitals. I fear Orthodox is very much in retroactive abortion, where the living and walking take a backseat to the unborn; where killing women, doctors, and fathers for the crime of not being able to see a future with an unwanted pregnancy, to death. I hope I am wrong, but with no answer to my questions, I can only judge her/him by words written with passionate rage.
Romney DID suggest privatizing FEMA. He is now recanting. Changing the topic to abortion and gay issues ignores the valid question, “What will Romney do as President?”
I respect my prolife friends. I understand my relatives who are uncomfortable with gay couples. I personally support a woman’s right to choose her destiny and healthcare issues. I also believe, as Denis Miller once said, “There is so much hate in the world, I will never get in the way of two people in love from being together.”
Orthodox, if you do not want government to be involved in your Catholicism, you need to prayerfully respect the civil rights of Americans who are choosing non Catholic lifestyles.
Respectfully,
C.
