   Wow, Howie. Name ONE of Auth’s characters who isn’t in the 47% that Romney despises. If you’re going to call it a “crock,” it’s nice to put up at least a token reason. Other than “I don’t accept facts from liberals.”

   The fact is, that as a self-employed businessman, even if I didn’t earn enough to pay income taxes (which I do), I still pay a higher percentage of my income in payroll taxes than Mitt pays in payroll, income, and capital gains taxes combined. And Mitt wants to make the wealth gap larger by shifting more of his taxes on to me? No thanks.

   As I understand the official, government approved and validated statistics, 50% of the population pays no taxes and lives off government subsides. The 95% of the population who has to pay the taxes that subsidize those moochers is livid, and rightly so. And the US is the greatest nation ever, because our population totals 145%, an achievement achieved by no other nation. So the US is #1.

    The candidates income is taxed at a lower rate… What about the income from the hidden accounts overseas?

    Tooner Sycophant ……… People who CAN NOT work are not Moochers. People who actually pay taxes are not Moochers. Many of the groups listed by the Tooner DO pay income taxes…..You want Moochers? Check out the Occupy whatever folks, clearly able body, how many are paying income tax…..You want the poster boy for Moochers go to Timmy Geithner sec of Treasury, Has he ever paid ALL of his back taxes including the part that the Time requirement ran out.

    If I were an American Democrat, I would be outraged at Romney. I work, hard, have done all my life, always paid taxes, never depended on the government, and support Obama. How DARE he call me a freeloader and a victim looking for handouts!

    Mr. Auth, Those are just a few of the “moochers”. I know your space is limited. Incidentally, the 47% figures are from 2009, the last year for that study. It includes students, children, low income workers, retirees, stay at home mothers and 2% of them earn over $1 million a year. (per University of Michigan publication,)
