    Nope, another lie from the left.

    State issued photo ID’s for voter identification are offered for free, if you cannot afford to pay for one.

    Get that? FREE. Just prove you are who you say you are and have the right to vote. FOR FREE. Do the same thing you need to do to purchase alcohol, cigarettes, firearms, handgun ammunition, write a check, rent a car, get a discount card from your grocery store. Show your ID.

    I don’t want an illegal alien, convicted felon, foriegn exchange student, or someone posing as a dead person diluting my vote. Why are you so against this if not to promote voter fraud?

    You are not correct. And plenty of states do just fine without a photo ID.

    The biggest thing with the issue is that the states (all states with Republican governors and are either primarily Democratic [Maine, Wisconsin] or battleground [Florida]) proposing the laws want them to be STATE ISSUED IDs as a way to dissuade out-of-state college students from voting on the campus they reside at. This probably has nothing to do with the fact that college students are one of the most Democratic-voting groups in the country.

    I agree. If you’re too dumb to figure out how to get an ID, then you shouldn’t be making decisions about who should be running this country.

    Voter ID’s cost time and money. Two things por folks can’t afford. The reason its being compared to a poll tax is that it does exactly the same thing as the old poll tax. It puts a burden on the people who can’t afford the money and who work for minimum wage so they can’t afford the time either. If the “boys” play it like they once did, they can find a way to deny you an id because you don’t meet some requirement (which they just made up at the moment)>

    Before the court case comes up in PA the state admitted they have no proof of any voting fraud.

    Donald Williams. Auth turned the page. So if you’re still interested here goes. You offered 3 cases over a period of one year where guns were used for “good”. I’m now taksed with coming up with 18. Shall we begin with the 12 from Colorado? No? Then how about the crime statistics from any major city(your choice), under the heading Murders you’ll have more than 18 in the time frame you described. Not all commited with guns, but add in the accidental shooting (not counting the suicides) and I’m still betting it’s over the 18.

    @Eryx is right; many states impose a fee for getting a State ID (Florida included). Would you like me to repost the URL to the page that shows the list of items you need to have to get that?

    In my state voter fraud is a miniscule little 7 in ten years,yet our republican governor is wasting thousands of $$ to implement a policy making it difficult for anyone who is not registered to vote. A hassle and a big tax to catch catch one or two bad voters.

    Exactly what kind of fraud are these IDs supposed to prevent? All one needs to do is get a fake ID. I’m sure an underage drinker would be happy to tell you where to get one.

    Does the liberal questioning proper credentials for voting also demand to know why a ship carries lifeboats when it isn’t sinking?

    @Molon Labe

    Except to get a voter id, many states are demanding forms of identifications that certain segments of the population find hard to get. And you have to go to a small number of offices with limited hours.

    Demographically, the requirements put a burden on the poorer residents.

    And then there’s Florida, using a list of “disqualified” voters that’s been shown to be wildly inaccurate to throw people off the roles without notifying them. And gee, those “disqualified” voters just happen to be predominantly Democrats.

    There is still some voter fraud but in the last couple of decades it’s been mostly from the Republican side.
