Jules Feiffer has described Tony Auth best, "His perspective is that of a bemused and often angry comic historian. Irony, never a favorite form with Americans, is his meat and potatoes. He is not smug, and though he can be mean, he is never mean-spirited. Auth is a moralist and an optimist. He insists, even in this day and age, that hope is more than the name of a right-wing comedian or the shtick of a reactionary president."

Auth was lucky on this one since this posted before the SCOTUS ruling

Wasn’t sure where this was going, but what great news for America, and for health and life. The nice thing is that the opposition’s arguments are almost 100% distortions and misinformation, and that will become clear as they try to come up with a plan of their own… and remind themselves that this IS the Republican, free-market plan.

Many cartoonists draw two. Dave Fitzsimmons on another site did two about a week ago and posted bboth.

We will have to wait for Rush and Fox to put their negative spin on this before we hear from the trolls. They don’t really think for themselves.

Well, at least the working poor who could not afford to pay for health insurance or the penalty for not having health insurance won’t have to worry about it any more. Now they won’t be able to afford the tax imposed for not being able to afford health insurance. And not paying taxes comes with interest and penalties. Since not for profit and non-profit organizations are exempt from taxes, will they be exempt from this? Will all of the exemptions from participating in the health act given unions and companies from penalties still apply to taxes: What a mess we make when we don’t read the legislation before we pass it.

“I hear a giant sucking sound of my paycheck being incrementally removed from me.” The GOP must not like the quality of your posts.

As the Faux News anchor-blonde responded to the news, “At least we’ll still be able to nail Eric Holder.”
