Jules Feiffer has described Tony Auth best, "His perspective is that of a bemused and often angry comic historian. Irony, never a favorite form with Americans, is his meat and potatoes. He is not smug, and though he can be mean, he is never mean-spirited. Auth is a moralist and an optimist. He insists, even in this day and age, that hope is more than the name of a right-wing comedian or the shtick of a reactionary president."

You continually use ad hominen attacks, ANandy. Do you think they help?

Just watched Napolitano and Sebelius on Meet the Press. Listening to them, it’s apparent that the Govt is doing the right things on swine flu, from HHS and DHS perspectives.
Also just read a NYT article on Obama’s background as President of Harvard Law Review - the highest student office at Harvard, which involved extensive editing of peer reviews of Supreme Court decisions, and his teaching career at Univ of Chicago, which involved teaching about those decisions.
I’m just glad we finally have qualified people in the right positions. (Do you want “Sully” or “Heckuva Job Brownie” flying this plane?)
It’s interesting to note that even though Supreme Court Justices Breyer, Ginsburg, Roberts, and Scalia are all Harvard Law Review Alumni, they were all Editors or Article Editors, and not President of HLR.

To longtimecomicsfan:
Thanks for the refreshing intelligent comment. Too many comical people commenting in the comics section. You’re a gentleman and a scholar.

Hey, Anthony. You may have missed the memo. I think we’re all trying to ignore ANandy and Stewiez.

I see Bozo in another Forum, under a Differnt Name, but the same slander against Obama.
Then again, If Obama were a Republican, then Andy would agree with Everything Obama has done thus far. He would be “Obama Better Thab Bush’ You know this is true form his rants on Obama and anyone who dare speak evil of Bush is labled a ‘Bush Hater’

Sorry, Tpenna. I was recently amused that ANandy spoke out against using ad hominem attacks, something he does in just about every post.
But I’ll be good now.
