It’s not just the NSA. I watched the whole movie “Terms and Conditions May Apply” last nite at a local “art” theater. Horrifying, but not news to anyone who is paying any attention:
    http://youtu.be/yzyafieRcWE
    Here is a longer clip:
    http://youtu.be/XdoAY8WfV7Q
The whole film is now on YouTube behind an “adult” wall that requires one to “sign in”.

If you give up your privacy you give up your freedom. Simple as that. Be VERY afraid.

This left-wing judge, appointed by that loony liberal Bush, jr on 9/10/‘01, has made meaningless statements before. He wanted due process for those the government know are terrorists, but the government information is classified, so it would appear that the obsolete Constitution makes it illegal to punish them since no one can ever see any of the evidence against those accused terrorists.

Of course he was immediately overruled by the Appeals Courts and the SCOTUS, since we know we are at War, and the entire Constitution (with all its Amendments) is suspended for the duration.

So, once again, a meaningless gesture which the judge himself stayed until it’s overturned.

Our wise legislature, executive, and judiciary know that an 18th century document has no place in the 21th century if our government is to keep us safe from goatherds with their sinister staffs and cutting crooks.

How many times have we heard someone say that we should “give” rights to “terrorists”? Remember this from “A Man for All Seasons”?

William Roper: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!

Sir Thomas More: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

William Roper: Yes, I’d cut down every law in England to do that!

Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned ‘round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s! And if you cut them down, and you’re just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I’d give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!

Even if the decision is upheld, I expect they’ll just ooze around it somehow and keep sucking up our data. Meanwhile, we’ll keep punishing all whistleblowers, whether or not they go through “proper channels” (designed to be easier to ignore).

That only applies when the law is functioning for the people, the law is functioning for the politicians sake. Time to cut a great deal of them.

Many of the terrorists are not goat herders, but college graduates who cannot stand the Western countries lead by the USA attacking and killing their parents, children and spouses. People have a tendency to be changed to violence when that happens.

GWB is no Liberal, and the Judge is actually following the Constitution. Imagine that horror, just letting our govt, and the mercenaries it employs, to kill anyone they “think” is a terrorist no matter how many others are not. You make enemies real fast. Estimates are for every suspected terrorist killed, creates 8 who want to retaliate.

Republics do not do this, however Empires do it for a reason. To make plenty of enemies to allow the over militarization to not only continue, but to justify it at our own expense.

What “only applies …etc.”? More is not saying that no law should ever be repealed; he is saying that laws should be respected. If you mean that a great many laws should be repealed, then you are saying something beside the point More was making. If you are saying that a great many laws should be ignored and violated, especially so that you can be judge, jury, and executioner of those you think are “evildoers” then you understand what More is saying and are disagreeing with him. If you are trying to saying some third thing, then I don’t understand you at all.
