“Jobless recovery. Hope and change in-action…”

The lack of jobs state side would be due to the actions of the so-called “job creators” sending manufacturing jobs overseas. Maybe if we give them even more tax cuts they’ll consider keeping one or two jobs here. Maybe.

Sort of like the “Mission Accomplished” sign a certain previous president used?

I know you like to pick and choose your info, but Obama said (about the Republicans): “So far, at least, what they’ve expressed is a preference where they’d rather have these cuts go into effect than close a single tax loophole for the wealthiest Americans — Not one." In other words the cons wanted these cuts, not Obama.

As soon as you brought up the sequester being created by Republicans, and the Mission Accomplished sign you two outed yourselves as trolls who don’t care for truth and would rather argue for the sake of it. You’re worthless to debate with because you’re close-minded.

Amen brother, so many of the jobs are part time with no benefits, yes I do miss President Bush. You don’t measure a President because of a recession you measure him how quickly it recovers.

15 passed in the house last time I checked, when will Harry Read allow the Senate to vote on them.

Money is the primary weapon in the war between corporations and gov’ts. A company that might want to take on new workers or invest in company, or even community infrastructure, must keep a certain amount of capital in reserve to protect against hostile takeovers. Since Citizen’s United, they must also be ready to contribute to those Super Pacs supporting candidates most likely to pass legislation friendly to that company’s goals. Those states that elect judges offer even more of a ‘threat’.
Loyalty to community no longer exists as every company able to do so turns to the state offering them most beneficial tax terms and the least amount of regulation. What amazes me is these states have the audacity to be shocked when the business moves to another state as soon as their benefits end. It’s like a woman who steals another woman’s husband and is surprised when he leaves her for another woman a few years later.
Our workers are not only competing with underpaid and under compensated workers from other nations, they are also competing with incarcerated workers toiling in corporate prison factories making a multitude of products.
I’m glad unemployment is down, but is it really a victory if a person with a family who lost a 50k+ per year job is now having to work for minimum wage?
    but Respectfully,

Been having jobless recoveries since 2001. Where have you been?
Pres. Obama is a Con, he thinks like them. In fact he reminds me so much of Reagan. No wonder he likes him so much.

Sequester is all of ours since it was a bi-partisan decision. The problem of having people who supposedly represent us yet have no real connexion to us.

The only “jobs” bill the House wants are cuts for their wealthy patrons. Not small start ups, those are where jobs come from not the big corporations and the über wealthy.

You most certainly can. Just become president.

This is America. Anybody can become president.

But if you can’t, it’s your own fault so don’t blame others, ok?

“If the Economy is back….Where are the Jobs.”

Certainly not in Government. If government employment kept up with population growth as it did during previous administrations, we’d have another 1.5 million jobs.

Private sector profits are up, as is employee productivity. Yet, hiring is sluggish & wages for labor are stagnant. What should Obama do about it?

The House Republicans in committee haven’t passed a single actual “jobs” bill. They’ve forwarded a bunch of bills to further deregulate corporations, give away the taxpayers natural resources, and improve corporate profits, while lowering their taxes, but “Jobs bills”— not a single one.
