. . . and then the ‘Death Panels’ and then the Stalinist gulag death camps and then the socialist-fascist sharia murder squads in every doctor’s office.
It’s written verbatim in the
Heritage FoundationRomneyObama Care bill. Glenn Beck read the whole thing and then told me so.mikefive said, 7 months ago
@corzak
If Glenn Beck read the whole thing, he must be the only person on the planet who has.

That is possibly the most nonsensical comment in history. One of the major points in Obamacare is that now uninsured people go to the ER and don’t pay and we all foot the bill.

You mean, without Obamacare people go to the emergency room, it costs much more to care for them, and the hospital and the rest of us pay the bill. With Obamacare people are held responsible to provide for their own health care if they can afford it, and given much less expensive help if they cannot.
What always gets me is that some folks talk a lot about personal responsibility, while they mean the opposite. For them it is all about all the things they are NOT responsible for, and cannot be expected to do.

The Obama camp hasn’t said that Obamacare will provide healthcare for those not covered, it has said over and over that it will force the deadbeats who are getting the world’s best healthcare for free to pay their fair share.
If the 47% would listen to this, and to Romney saying he’ll go back to the way it was, with every deadbeat getting the world’s best healthcare for free, why wouldn’t they all vote for him?
I know I can get the world’s best healthcare for free just by going to the ER of the best hospital in my city, and there’s never a waiting line like Europe or Canada, and absolutely no charges, and Romney has promised me I can keep that if he’s elected, while Obama says I’ll have to pay in full. So why would I vote for Obama?
Just because the security persons and bill collectors at the hospital ER don’t quite match the promises of Obama or Romney, who am I going to believe, uneducated, working class security persons and bill collectors or the two candidates for president?

Don’t worry. As Mitt recently said, no one dies because they don’t have health insurance. Isn’t that reassuring?

Yeah R’money wants everyone who can’t afford health insurance to go to the emergency room on the taxpayer dime. Not going to reduce the deficit that way Wrongway Mitt!

Somehow the rest of the hospital above the emergency room gives the impression of being a prison. I wonder if that was deliberate or if I’m just reading things into it that Toles didn’t put into the strip?

Yea, doctors are getting really, really excited to start working for minimum wage scale under the new ‘OTaxCare’ bill. Wouldn’t you?

I’m very interested in knowing how many of the right wing ignorati know the actual name of Obama’s health bill. They mimic the Fox ‘news’ idiots and say ‘Obamacare’, and I bet not one in three could tell you the true name. You haters might want to think on that a bit.

If poor working people can afford regular preventative care, regular checkups and care through their family physician, they are far less likely to develop life threatening illnesses that force them into the outrageously expensive emergency rooms. This is the part of the system, as it is now, that costs other people so much money. It’s better than letting people die, of course, but a poor substitute for a real national healthcare program that would maintain the health of the citizens rather than casting them off into high cost emergency situations. Single payer is the way to get to a really good healthcare system. What we have now is one that is rated 47th in the world! 47th! Far from being the best healthcare system in the world. It’s expensive and inefficient. Obamacare takes us a little bit down the road to a better system. The conservative idea of leaving it as it is now, is just a failure of common sense. Vote for Obama!
