Farewell to a lady and one of the few reasonable Republicans.

As the Republicans continue to punish and drive away their own, let’s hope Americans realize that doing nothing while America spirals into insignificance, just to spite the president, is hardly responsible. Or patriotic.

I hope the Republicans have a brokered convention. It’s possible that that they would come up with a candidate that is worse than those running but unlikely.

No…we’ll GAIN one when a Dem wins her seat.

Her moderate, reasonable image was just another GOP lie. The GOP never lost a filibuster because of her.

Beautifully done on so many levels. Au revoir, Senator Snowe. Nice seeing someone stating the truth we all see — that discussion in Congress has descended to the schoolyard level, especially amongst the GOP.

Although a moderate, she was still a ‘player for the team’. She voted FOR the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, but then FILLIBUSTERED the appointment of Richard Cordray – only for partsian reasons.
Good Riddence. We can hope for a progressive replacement.

By calling Snowe a “RINO”, folks are failing to understand that this country is run by compromise. It has to be run from the middle. Otherwise, you have the issues we have today, where only the wealthy are powerful, and the rest of the country suffers.

Who a few weeks ago was whining about Texas redistricting.

Yes, compromise, another way of saying, “We are going to slowly descend into the boiling water rather than just jump right in.” McCain would have been a slow boil (as Bush was), while Obama tried to go all in. The Wealthy have ALWAYS BEEN POWERFUL, Croc. It’s not an “American” thing.

Another species on the verge of extinction: the moderate Republican. I never expected that phrase to become an oxymoron.

She quit because of Republican sponsored gridlock.
