Harleyquinn…..uh, say what? Did you want Toles to show the original word?

Maybe it’s not that important; after all, we all know that he comes from a part of the country where racism still influences some people. It does not mean he is a racist… just didn’t occur to him (back then) that it was offensive. Just shows bad judgement, not necessarily racism. We should be focused on the real problems with the man. For instance, he wants to send U.S. troops to Mexico to do what? I read that in the Washington Post, so it must be true.

Sen. Byrd is dead. Thats been done.
As to the name of the camp Let’s face facts, it will take many years eliminate this word from the American vocabulary. I doubt that we ever will, especially when it is used freely in rap culture.

Funny, when I google “Robert Byrd Klan,” the first three entries are two Wikipedia articles and a Washington Post article about Byrd’s history in the Klan. Damn yoooou liberal media!

I have to say, so far I am surprised at the editorial cartoons about this. I fullly expected every liberal to have drawn Perry in klan robes or a Hitler-stache or clinking glasses with Satan by now. But it seems most see it as a non-story and are merely continuing to show him as an alleged goofball. A part of my cinicism died this morning.

Yesterday you were calling this ‘an actual racial epithet’

    What changed your mind.?

You know I have seen literally four stories in the news on Perry’s rock none had said the word itself. So forgive me for being stupid but what was it.

I think we’re done with Perry now. He’s cooked and a non-contender. Now on to Cain. Watch him plunge in the polls as we begin to discover that he’s not presidential material. We haven’t seen the real candidate yet. It’s fun to watch them come and go.

Notice how it’s Perry who makes the gaffe, then makes a pretty feeble lie to cover it up (though the truth would have been pretty harmless). But now every conservative Fox news commentator, and the commentators here, attack who? Cain — of all people! It’s pretty clear that a memo has come to Fox news that Romney is their man, and it’s time to dismantle the contenders.

Oh, and I have to say I love the extra dose of humor in the cartoon — in Perry’s book, of course, you can’t attack and slur black people anymore. But you can attack and slur smart people. How accurate! “Let’s hear it for the C students.”

Let’s face it. Perry has officially screwed the pooch. Next!

Folks – this is Texas. However, I learned that was a racist word in the 60s. If Perry didn’t take offense in the 80’s, then yes, it is a big deal. It has been a big deal my entire life. Folks like Perry live here and everywhere else – not just Texas. It doesn’t change my opinion that he is just another dim-witted tool for corporate interests, it just makes him as insensitive as his owners. Perry is proud of the “Texas Dream” – lots of folks earning low wages, little or no medical care, substandard education, and crumbling infrastructure. Welcome to Texas!
