I think Tom Toles has been reading Neoconman’s comments on this forum.

After watching “The Warning” on Frontline, it will be hard to get anything past Geithner, Summers & Bernanke.
The new regulatory agency people will have congress’ support for now.
If the “to-big-to-fail’ corps on Wall Street can be broken up, it will be easier to find the crooks by the size of their mansions in the Hamptons.

Jim…we can dump Franks in 2010 and may have to wait for Dodds

Jim, why would we want to keep it from happening again? Do you realize how much money we made this time by building up the housing bubble and selling our stock to the little players just before the bust? Worked better than we dreamed. We’ll do it again and again, because the little guys are ‘way too greedy to ever think about what’s going on.

Hey, Mister Creosote. Care for a wafer thin mint?

NeoconMan, you should be posting in the dailies, as well as the editorials.
There’s a lot of leftist, pinko, bleeding-heart strips showing up this week suggesting that people who are privileged with good health, a steady (and sufficient) income, and a relatively disaster-free life might somehow get personal satisfaction by helping those who need help.
Didn’t that great biblical patriarch say “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

BoB Hasty, i watched “The Warning,” and thank you for that tip. I think it was one of your posts that talked about it.
But Summers was one of the Clinton trifecta that fought attempts to regulate or even monitor OTC derivatives. Are you saying he’s FOR regulation now? Are you sure?
From what I’m hearing and reading, the financial sector lobby is as strong as ever and they’ve been successful at stalling all attempts to bring back some of the regulations that were discarded in the last decade. Do you have a different understanding?
